What are
non-covered costs?

Not everything is
covered by your
home warranty
policy.  Most of the
companies we work
with will not cover
the cost of new
ductwork, stands,
elbows, refrigerant
recovery and
disposal and
equipment disposal
when replacing a
system.  Other HVAC
company's have
been known to
charge upward of
$1500 for these
non-covered items.
Our prices are very
reasonable.  Our
average
non-covered costs
are $275.
As a Home Warranty
customer, you must
maintain your HVAC
system, or you risk the
Home Warranty
company rejecting
your claim.

This means:

Change your air filter
regularly (at least once
per month).

Hose down your
outside
condenser/heat pump
twice per year (with a
simple garden hose).

Have your HVAC
system inspected at
least once per year.
(Spring and Fall
recommended).

Keep all foliage at least
three feet from your
system.

Have your air handler
and indoor evaporator
coils maintained
regularly.  Many
problems can occur if
this is not done,
including water
condensation leaks
and mold issues.
